Red Dragon’s Maps Poll: The Results

Howdy, dear Wargamers.

The voting for your favorite Wargame maps has been closed for a few hours, and here are the results, out of 3462 voters.

As was made clear very early, the first two places were to be harshly fought between Highway & Three Miles Island, long-time most popular maps of the series. In the end, it is the former which crosses the line first.

On the third place, Copenhagen was unable to catch with the first two, but never really threatened by its pursuers.

Finally, the influx in voters after the intermediary results made a victim: Stavanger, which was having a hard time staying in the fourth place, was overtaken in the last sprint by its two contenders: Hamburger Hill & Fulda Gap.

So, to sum up, the final rankings are:

#1 Highway

#2 Three Miles Island

#3 Copenhagen

#4 Hamburger Hill

#5 Fulda Gap

We can’t give you the planning of maps to be done or a schedule of release right now, but our map builders have already started prepping their Wargame mapping tools and “props” as we speak …

All Wargame:RD multiplayer maps have always been available in skirmish (with the exception of 10v10 maps, I believe)

I prefer maps with a highly hilly landscape. But it will still be great to get the “new” maps.

    So Thank you! Merci!

Have you ever thought about a WW2 Wargame?

Shorter range, a more zoomed-in area (smaller maps), iconic units, less accurate artillery, WW2 with the concept of unit deck…. OMG, it would be so great!!! Un hit assuré!

Wargame has the best concepts and execution, but people just love the WW2 era. Moreover, WW2 is more suitable than modern era for tactical PC games because of the scaling factor (ranging of engagement) and the weapons are less accurate and deadly.

Please push the idea forward to the high spheres! :o)

R.U.S.E is the opposite of Wargame in therms of gameplay

I would love a WW2 Wargame too but we can always dream …
